If you’re ever looking for the full text of
an article you’ll want to try Google Scholar What you have to do is type in the full
title of the article this is an article a history student
was looking for called “rogues, whores and vagabonds” and we went into Google Scholar and
lo and behold there the article was but wait a minute if you’re off campus, this won’t work. Here’s what you have to do to get this thing to go… go to the library
homepage click on “research databases” and click on Google Scholar What’s gonna happen then is a proxy form is gonna pop up that asks for your username and password.
You sign in, as though you were looking for any other database, then you can connect, and get the full text from off campus. So this is just one tip that’s going to be part of this upcoming workshop, and we encourage you to turn up and hear
about five or six other ones. You won’t want to miss it.
